Aus Leer(stand) macht Mehr(Stadt)! Eine experimentelle Sonnenberg Begehung

The workshop took place with reference to the Art festival Begehungen in August 2013. The festival´s subject »blank space« was highlighted in the workshop and the central questions were: What are the possibilities and potentials of blank space? How can they be used, rethought and reconfigured? How can perspectives be changed?

With the Situationist method of dérive, the district Sonnenberg in Chemnitz was explored in small »research teams«; focusing on perceptions and observations. Afterwards, the collected impressions were discussed and possibilities of reinterpretation were created. In conclusion moments of irritation and a rethinking of space has been installed, performed and translated (into practice).
